In this talk, I will first present (my interpretation of) the unified modeling framework for sequential decision problems and the four classes of polices, which were introduced and developed by Professor Warren Powell at Princeton University over the past decade. I will then present a few selected research projects by our research lab under this framework. At the end, I will share some thoughts on the challenges when applying the framework in practice.

报告将首先分享本人对普林斯顿大学Warren Powell教授近年来提出并发展的序贯决策问题的统一建模框架和四类策略的理解。然后，简介本实验室在此建模框架下的代表性研究项目。最后，报告将探讨在实践应用该框架时所面临的挑战及潜在的应对思路。

嘉宾简介

Dr. Lei Zhao is an associate professor and the director of the Operations & Services Research (TOpS) Laboratory in the Department of Industrial Engineering at Tsinghua University.

His research focuses on stochastic optimization methodologies and their applications in supply chain risk management, logistics and transportation management (esp. urban delivery in megacities), and omni-channel retailing & logistics. His research has been funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and Ministry of Science and Technology of China (MoST), as well as industry collaborators such as Sinoair, Sinopec, COSCO Shipping Technology, Alibaba, Huawei, Meituan, IBM China Research Lab, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, General Mills, etc.

He has long-term research collaborations with world-class researchers, and has publications in ANOR, COR, EJOR, MSOM, OR Spectrum, TRB, TRC, TRE, and TS, etc. He has served as the Secretary of INFORMS TSL Society and the AE of IJOC, and currently serves as the AE of TS.

赵磊博士，清华大学工业工程系副教授，副系主任（ 主管教学 ），运筹学与服务科学研究室主任。其研究领域包括随机优化方法及其在供应链风险管理、物流和运输管理（ 特别是超大型城市中的配送管理 ）以及全渠道零售和物流中的应用。他的研究获得了国家自然科学基金、科技部等的资助，并且同中外运、中石化、中远海运科技、阿里、华为、美团、IBM中国研究院、日本三菱重工、美国通用磨坊等有项目合作。

赵磊在ANOR、COR、EJOR、MSOM、OR Spectrum、TRB、TRC、TRE和TS等期刊发表多篇论文。他曾任INFORMS交通科学与物流分会秘书长和INFORMS Journal on Computing期刊副编，现任Transportation Science期刊副编。
