Education Marketing Manager

Full-time | Mid-Senior level

Location: Shanghai

We are currently looking for an Education Marketing Manager for China to help us support Chinese educators and give them a better understanding of our development tools so that everyone can learn and grow.

岗位职责

Promote JetBrains development tools and learning resources (IDEs, online platforms, programs, etc.) for educational users, especially to teachers, and trainers in universities, colleges, and other educational institutions.
Help educational institutions and users successfully adopt, implement, and continue to use our products, services, and license management solutions. Including reviewing classroom license requests, monitoring the usage of JetBrains license server promptly and make adjustments according to their requests.
Maintain sustainable relationships with both IT and teaching departments in educational institutions. Build communication channels to gather feedback and help improve their experience with JetBrains development products.
Organize events with educational institutions and/or participate in events targeting the educational industry, like conferences for students and professors. Arrange and invite suitable participants from JetBrains as speakers.
Collaborate with internal teams to initiate necessary improvements for our support programs to help them succeed in the target regions.

岗位要求

2+ years of proven experience in educational marketing, computer science/programming, or a related discipline.
Experience collaborating with universities and related institutions and understanding their software and IT management methods.
Strong capacity for building and nurturing relationships.
Native Chinese language ability and proficiency in English on a business level (we communicate in English within the company).
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience planning, creating and implementing joint events and campaigns with universities and other institutions.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work efficiently without direct supervision in a distributed team.
Sensitivity to domestic education industry policies and ability to make timely changes according to policy adjustments.
Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and to be resourceful to achieve success in the face of ambiguity.

Preferable:

Familiarity with and understanding of JetBrains products.
Experience using issue tracking tools (we use YouTrack) and help desk software (we use Zendesk).
Familiarity with various software management and licensing models.

Support Engineer - IntelliJ IDEA

Full-time | Junior- Middle level

Location: China mainland with a possibility to remote working from home

We are looking for an experienced support engineer for IntelliJ IDEA to support our Chinese Language Speaking Market. If you have a strong software engineering background and know how to handle customers' requests, feel free to send us your application.

岗位职责

Deep investigation into users' issues to provide a bug localization for our developers.
Provide technical support for IntelliJ IDEA via email, community forums, and social media.
Work with the bug tracker: process new requests and the past ones.
Reproduce users' issues and create bug reports for them.
Contribute to the product development based on the customers' common problems and needs.

岗位要求

Five or more years of experience in technical support and/or software engineering.
Experience in Java development.
Excellent written English.
Familiarity with Windows/Mac/Linux.
Deep knowledge of network protocols.
Experience in using bug-tracking systems.
Good communication skills.

Preferable:

Familiarity with IntelliJ IDEA.
Experience in a QA position.
Experience with Java application servers.
Understanding of Version Control Systems.
Knowledge of databases would be a plus.

Developer Advocate (GoLand)

Full-time | Mid-Senior level

Location: Remote

We are looking for a Developer Advocate who is passionate about the Go language and contributes to its development or related open-source projects, actively participates in community discussions, likes to dig into the details and explain to others how things work under the hood, and enjoys giving talks at Go-related conferences. We're looking for people who dislike being micromanaged, have the discipline to plan tasks and execute them independently, and enjoy having freedom while working.

Last but not least, If the Go mascot has struck a chord with you as it did with us, chances are we’re going to work really well together.

岗位职责

Be a part of the Go community
Work closely with the product team to identify opportunities to improve the user experience.
Give talks at conferences and meetups.
Host and participate in webinars, podcasts, and other media.
Create content related to the technologies being covered.

岗位要求

5+ years of development experience with Go.
Fluency in both spoken and written English.
Great communication and teaching skills.
Self-organization and time-management skills.
Experience in giving talks at conferences.
Knowledge of GoLand.
Willingness to travel.

Preferable:

A proactive role in the community, such as participating in proposal discussions, contributing to the language, or working on OSS-related projects.
An active social media presence.

Developer Advocate (Web & JavaScript)

Full-time | Mid-Senior level

Location: Remote

The Developer Advocacy team works with new and existing users of our products. We listen, we educate, and we advocate for their needs.

The Advocacy team is looking for a Developer Advocate for web and JavaScript. The ideal candidate for this position will be a developer with experience in JavaScript and its related technologies who is enthusiastic about sharing their expertise with others.

岗位职责

Create real-time and pre-recorded online content such as tutorials, webinars, screencasts, regular online shows, and online conference presentations.
Retain developer skills by regularly writing and publishing code.
Interact with our users and relay their feedback to the product teams.
Teach people how to use various technologies and JetBrains tools.
Give talks at JetBrains events.
Speak at conferences and help at booths.
Visit customers together with JetBrains sales representatives.

岗位要求

Advanced knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, and popular frameworks and libraries, such as React and Vue.
Ability to quickly understand and work with new technologies.
Fluent ability in English.
Experience recording videos and taking part in various online and offline events.
Great communication skills.
Teaching ability.
Good knowledge of JetBrains IDEs.
Willingness to travel.
