今天，是属于哈尔滨人的特别假期。

The Harbin city government in Heilongjiang province announced a special public holiday, the Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival, for Friday, to coincide with the festival's official opening.

The festival is set to last until late March 2024, according to its website.

The Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival is an annual winter gala held in Harbin, Northeast China's Heilongjiang province. It features large-scale ice and snow sculptures, long slides made entirely of ice and snow, and numerous other recreational facilities.

据统计，元旦3天假期，哈尔滨市累计接待游客304.79万人次，实现旅游总收入59.1亿元，两个数字双双达到历史峰值。在社交平台上“哈尔滨掏心掏肺掏家底” “尔滨宠宾”等话题的讨论量依然居高不下。

Harbin welcomed nearly 3.05 million visitors, raking in 5.91 billion yuan (about $832.39 million) of tourism revenue, during the three-day New Year holiday, which ended Monday.

Both the number of tourists and the amount of tourism revenue surpassed the figures for 2019, marking a historical peak.
