习近平同法国总统马克龙、欧盟委员会主席冯德莱恩举行中法欧领导人三方会晤

当地时间5月6日上午，国家主席习近平在巴黎爱丽舍宫同法国总统马克龙、欧盟委员会主席冯德莱恩举行中法欧领导人三方会晤。

习近平指出，很高兴再次同马克龙总统、冯德莱恩主席举行会晤。法国是我今年出访的首站，今天的三方会晤增强了这次访问面向欧洲的意义。中国始终从战略高度和长远角度看待中欧关系，将欧洲作为中国特色大国外交的重要方向和实现中国式现代化的重要伙伴，希望中法关系、中欧关系相互促进、共同发展。

China regards Europe as an important dimension in its major-country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics and an important partner on its path toward Chinese modernization, Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Monday.

Xi made the remarks at a China-France-EU trilateral meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen at Elysee Palace.

Expressing his delight in meeting with Macron and von der Leyen again, Xi noted that France is the first stop of his overseas visit this year, and that the trilateral meeting amplifies the Europe-wide significance of this visit.

China always approaches its relations with the European Union (EU) from a strategic and long-term perspective, Xi said.

It is hoped that China-France and China-EU relations would reinforce each other and thrive together, he added.

当今世界进入新的动荡变革期，作为这个世界的两支重要力量，中欧双方应该坚持伙伴定位，坚持对话合作，深化战略沟通，增进战略互信，凝聚战略共识，开展战略协作，推动中欧关系稳定健康发展，为世界和平和发展不断作出新的贡献。

As the world enters a new period of turbulence and transformation, China and the EU, as two major forces in the world, should continue to see each other as partners, stay committed to dialogue and cooperation, deepen strategic communication, enhance strategic mutual trust, build strategic consensus, carry out strategic coordination, work for steady and sound growth of China-EU ties, and continue making new contributions to world peace and development, Xi said.
