• Perform technical research around locally represented technologies

• Hold communications with framework/platform/cloud developers to ensure in-time support of their technology

• Constantly communicate with the IntelliJ IDEA team

• Develop plugins for IntelliJ IDEA to deliver local specifics

• Help with product decisions, important for the better offer on the local market

• Good understanding of the local development ecosystem

• Experience with Java and/or Kotlin and related mainstream frameworks (Spring, MyBatis, RDBMS)

• Passion for learning new technologies

• Good command of English

Our ideal candidate would have:

• Experience in IntelliJ IDEA plugin development

• Understanding of Cloud technologies, Kubernetes in particular

• Desire to present technical talks at conferences

• Manual testing of integration with local market’s development tools and services in different environments.

• Testing IDE integration with JetBrains AI tools, including requests in English and Chinese.

• Refining prompts in the Chinese language to increase JetBrains AI tools quality.

• Finding issues that impact the effectiveness or adaptation of the product to the Chinese-speaking market specifically.

• Linguistic testing of localized software: testing localized features, screens, the user interface, and content for accuracy, ensuring that these elements are appropriate in both cultural and technical contexts. 

• Communicating with users: reproducing the reported problems and requesting information required for investigation.

• Collaborating with other teams, such as development, localization, and regional managers.

• Regression testing of stable functionality.

• Acceptance testing of new features.

• At least 2 years of technical background and/or some programming experience.

• Familiarity with the local software development trends and tools. 
  

• Familiarity with AI testing: experience in prompt engineering and evaluation of generative AI systems. 

• Experience working in IDEs (IntelliJ-based products, Visual Studio).

• Ability to test without functional specification.

• Attention to detail.

• Fluent English.

• Native Mandarin Chinese proficiency.

• Analyse and determine business opportunities, filter out ineffective contacts and leads.

• Design strategy for each prospective customer that we aim to acquire as a new customer account and/or to further expand our cooperation to the next level.

• Visit prospective customer offices and/or meet onsite at conferences and other events when necessary.

• Work with sales representatives and customer success engineers onboarding customers to JetBrains tools and solutions and design customer growth programs.

• Play a key role during the PoC and business negotiation process.

• Have experience working in software engineering companies combined with a business-oriented approach and a focus on customer needs.

• Are knowledgeable about software development tools, ideally with hands-on experience in software development, QA, system administration, release automation, or a related field.

• Experience in cloud computing and remote development solutions is a plus.

• Have good problem-solving and analytical skills across technical, product, and business areas, with an ability to grasp a customer’s needs and suggest suitable solutions.

• Have 3+ years of experience working in business development in China Mainland and/or 3+ years of customer-facing experience in sales engineering, solution engineering, customer success engineering, or a similar customer-facing field.

• Have strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written, with native Chinese language and advanced English language skills.

• Are experienced in driving technical discussions with both technical and non-technical audiences without going into unnecessary detail.

• Are comfortable giving both in-person and remote presentations, holding Q&A sessions, discussing product roadmaps, and delivering product demos.

• Are able to work efficiently and successfully without a direct supervision in a distributed team.

• Have a proven track record of building and developing relationships in the B2B world.

• Are willing and able to travel across China Mainland and internationally.

• Manage existing large accounts and work proactively to preserve and develop them.

• Handle escalations from customers and help manage expectations both with the internal product team and with the customer.

• Visit customer offices and/or meet onsite at conferences and other events when necessary.

• Work with business developers and customer success engineers onboarding customers to JetBrains tools and solutions and design customer growth programs.

• Provide pre-sales and post-sales support.

• Help customers with subscription renewals, purchases, licensing issues.

• Maintain current knowledge of product line, prices, and various promotions.

• Design solutions to meet customer’s needs.

• Identify growth opportunities.

• Set up and maintain the relationships with assigned key accounts.

• Are knowledgeable about software development tools.

• Experience in cloud computing and remote development solutions is a plus.

• 5 or more years’ experience of software sales. 

• Native Chinese Speaking & Fluent spoken and written English.

• Ability to communicate efficiently.
