China's maritime sector demonstrated robust growth in 2024 with 33 million vessels active at Chinese ports, transporting 19.7 billion tonnes of cargo. With the drive for more efficient and eco-conscious vehicles, 1.7 million new energy vehicles were exported via sea freight. The relevant tourism sector also saw substantial growth with cruise ship transportation exceeding one million passengers.
