12月21日，@上海虹口 官方微博发布消息，对蒋女士的不幸离世深表惋惜，相关善后工作正带着敬意与温度稳步推进，全力守护逝者尊严、保障相关权益。
虹口方面表示，蒋女士所在居委已与蒋女士生前单位、远亲联系，所在居委将在与相关方充分协商基础上作妥善安排，预计12月底前举行告别仪式，送逝者安详最后一程。
Authorities in Shanghai's Hongkou district have released the latest update regarding the posthumous arrangements and estate administration of a 46-year-old woman surnamed Jiang who lived alone and passed away due to illness, saying that if the district civil affairs authority is designated as the estate administrator, it will administer the estate in accordance with the law, with any remaining assets, after statutory procedures, to be used for public welfare purposes.

Regarding funeral arrangements, the local neighborhood committee has contacted Jiang's former employer and distant relatives. Based on full consultation with relevant parties, proper arrangements will be made, with a farewell ceremony expected to be held before the end of December, according to the release from the Hongkou authorities.
All related matters are being advanced in an orderly and lawful manner to safeguard the deceased's dignity and lawful rights, the authorities said.
According to The Paper, Jiang, who lived alone in Hongkou district, died of illness on Dec 14. As her parents had passed away previously, and she was unmarried with no children, the arrangements for her funeral and the disposition of her estate have drawn public attention.
