The journalist, who works for Elephant News, was reportedly dragged by unidentified individuals while investigating the premises. The attack sparked immediate concern from the All-China Journalists Association (ACJA), which urged local authorities to thoroughly investigate the incident and ensure the protection of journalists' legitimate rights and personal safety.
On Thursday, senior officials from the Zhejiang Journalists Association and the Hangzhou Municipal Journalists Association, acting on behalf of the ACJA, visited the injured reporter to express their support.

今天（28日），浙江省杭州市临平区联合调查处置组发布情况通报。针对群众反映临平区某小区一住宅内有人非法从事试管婴儿手术问题，区委、区政府成立由卫健、公安等部门组成的联合调查处置组，详情如下：
5月26日晚，临平区相关部门接到群众报案，反映某小区一住宅内有人非法从事试管婴儿手术，双方就赔偿问题产生纠纷并发生冲突，区卫健局、区公安分局立即前往现场核查处置。执法人员在现场发现有与人类辅助生殖技术相关的医疗器械、药品等，当场查封涉事场所，并对相关医疗器械和物品进行封存扣押。目前，卫健部门已对涉嫌非法行医行为立案调查；公安机关已对现场纠纷情况立案调查，并将纠纷中的受伤人员送医治疗。
In a parallel development, the Linping district joint investigation team released an official statement on Thursday, confirming that a residential unit in the district was suspected of illegally conducting in vitro fertilization (IVF) procedures. Following a public complaint and a separate altercation over compensation at the same location on Tuesday evening, local health and public security authorities immediately raided the site.
Officials seized medical devices and drugs related to assisted reproductive technology, sealed off the premises, and detained the equipment. The health department has opened a probe into illegal medical practices, while the police are investigating the altercation and have sent the injured individuals — including the journalist — for medical treatment.
下一步，临平区将根据后续调查情况，依法依规严肃处理相关违法行为和责任人。
