Lautaro Martinez scored in stoppage time as Argentina recovered from a goal down to reach the World Cup final with a dramatic 2-1 win over England on Wednesday.

Argentina will seek to defend the title it won in Qatar four years ago when it faces Spain in the final at New York New Jersey Stadium on Sunday.

A member of the Argentine coaching staff was seen showing the bottle to Lionel Messi – who twice missed from the penalty spot in games against Austria and Egypt during this World Cup.

The staff member then brought the bottle over to Fernandez with the Chelsea midfielder smiling and laughing as he appeared to find his name and penalty preference noted down.

While it has been widely reported that the notes mapped out Argentina's penalty takers, the exact contents of the bottle have not been officially confirmed.
