A text message exchange between an individual education sponsor in Gansu province and a student the sponsor had funded for five years has gone viral after the student demanded continued support and threatened to expose the sponsor when the funding was suspended.
9日，姚先生告诉记者事件属实，事件引发网络热议后相关部门介入，得知女生是情急之下失言，他给女生送去了本月的生活费，并为她安排了勤工俭学。
记者从嘉峪关相关部门获悉，工作人员已关注并介入事件处理。
The sponsor, surnamed Yao from Jiayuguan, shared screenshots of the conversation on Tuesday. He told reporters the next day that the student had spoken out of anxiety after suddenly losing her income, and he has since given her this month's allowance and has arranged a part-time job for her.
9月8日，记者从姚先生处了解到，他2014年暑假启动助学，至今已资助数十名学生。
他有明确的筛选机制：助教初选后提交照片、资料与沟通记录，由他结合自身生活经验，从衣着、状态、沟通细节判断是否符合资助条件。资助标准为高中阶段每月500元、大学阶段每月1000元。此前，涉事女生每月可获1500元资助。该生高一入学时，母亲背着蛇皮袋送学，经班主任推荐纳入资助，持续帮扶至大二。
Yao began his sponsorship program in 2014 and has supported dozens of students, providing 500 yuan monthly for high schoolers and 1,000 for university students. The student had been receiving 1,500 yuan monthly since her first year of high school, when her mother carried a sack to send her to school, and was supported through her sophomore year of university.
九月，姚先生按规则停止资助并告知对方，随后，女生自发寻找到了姚先生的电话，才有了后续的聊天记录。

Yao said he stopped funding in September as planned. He initially posted the conversation out of frustration but later deleted it. He noted that he also sponsors boys but encourages them to work, and believes girls are more vulnerable without support. He described his philanthropy as "healing his past self", recalling how his mother supported him through brick factory work and how he once went nearly 10 days without money while in college.

姚先生称，会把聊天记录发布出来，是“跟她赌气”的原因，而现在气早就消了。9月9日，姚先生也删除了最初发布的帖子。
同日，记者为核实此事，联系教育局、民政局等多个部门，均未获有效回复。
据媒体报道，9日下午，姚先生发布视频称，已经与相关部门沟通情况，得知这位同学突然失去生活来源，因为焦虑而情急失言，她愿意更换手机、到姚先生亲戚家的店里打工挣钱，他已安排同事前往兰州，送去1500元生活费。当地已关注到事件，并介入核实处理。
On Wednesday, Yao said the student had agreed to change her phone and work at his relative's shop. He sent a colleague to bring her 1,500 yuan in Lanzhou. Local authorities are investigating.
