东北大学学生筹资5000元向学院捐赠台球桌，学校回应：已将学生筹得款项全部返还，涉事老师已被处理

针对“东北大学学生筹资5000元向学院捐赠台球桌”事件，记者从涉事东北大学工商管理学院获悉，该学院已将学生筹得款项全部返还，并对涉事老师作出相应处理。

Northeastern University in Shenyang, Liaoning province, has refunded money raised by students for a pool table donation and disciplined a teacher involved, after the incident drew public scrutiny.

该学院相关负责人表示，学校十分重视此次事件，已于今日上午召开会议研究处置。同时，他补充介绍道，东北大学与中国黄金集团存在战略合作关系，此次涉事的“MEM”（工程管理硕士）中金班学生均为在职人员。

The university's School of Business Administration said it took the matter seriously and held a meeting on Friday morning to discuss how to handle it. A school official also noted that Northeastern University has a strategic partnership with China National Gold Group, and that the students in the Master of Engineering Management "China Gold Class" involved in the incident are all working professionals.

公开信息显示，东北大学是国家首批“211工程”“985工程”重点建设高校。中国黄金集团与东北大学自2024年联合开办东北大学黄金学院“黄金班”，“黄金班”学生毕业后可自主选择与本专业相关的就业去向，并优先获得东北大学与中国黄金集团联合培养的工程硕士、硕博连读、国际交流等推荐机会。

此前报道，9月15日，辽宁沈阳。东北大学MEM中金班学生反映，班长提议全班向学院捐赠一套价值5000元的台球桌，款项由班里38名同学共同筹资。称捐赠台球桌是为回报学院培养，与老师沟通后的需求。

9月16日，东北大学MEM中金班老师告诉《正在新闻》，捐赠台球桌是学生自发行为，并非强制要求，台球桌将供学院教师开展文体活动。

老师表示，往届多届学生都有主动捐赠的情况，不愿捐赠的学生可以不参与，学生捐赠更多是出于感恩学校培养的心意。

On Wednesday, a teacher with the program told media that the donation was a voluntary student initiative, not a requirement, and that the table would be used for faculty recreational activities. The teacher said students in previous cohorts had also made donations voluntarily, that those unwilling to participate could opt out, and that the donations were mainly an expression of gratitude toward the school.
