“30年不评职称”“从不念PPT”的副教授，去世了
双语君约 3 分钟据长江日报9月28日消息，华中科技大学航空航天学院退休副教授杨汉文不幸于2026年9月27日凌晨2时15分与世长辞，享年62岁。
生前，杨汉文因“30年不评职称，只想站好三尺讲台”为大众熟悉。
Yang Hanwen, a retired associate professor at the School of Aerospace Engineering at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, passed away on Sunday after a long illness.
He became widely known for spending three decades as a lecturer without ever applying for a professional title.
In 2019, Yang was 55 and hospitalized with lung cancer. By then, he had been teaching for 36 years but was still only a lecturer.
He told reporters then that a teacher's greatest sense of achievement comes from seeing students succeed, a fulfillment that differs from what a title can bring and one that kept him committed to the classroom for so long.
That October, colleagues at the school helped him complete a title application, and he was promoted to associate professor.
Yang taught many core mechanics courses for more than three decades. He never read from slides, filled the blackboard with handwritten notes, and often gave students extra tutoring, earning him lasting popularity.
Yang returned to the classroom in spring 2021. That autumn, as his illness worsened, he shifted to teaching-support work and remained in that role until his retirement in 2024. On Aug 27 this year, he was admitted to hospital again with a severe infection in both lungs.
