Guo Xiating, a 21-year-old gold medalist at the 48th WorldSkills Competition, has officially joined Hubei Three Gorges Technical University as a teacher, becoming an internship instructor in the dental program.

第48届世界技能大赛27日晚在上海圆满闭幕。其中，来自吉林省的选手何晓嫚拿到全场最高分，获得阿尔伯特·维达大奖。中国代表团参加全部64个项目，获得41枚金牌、11枚银牌、4枚铜牌和6个优胜奖，名列金牌榜、奖牌榜和团体总分第一。
开篇提到的郭夏亭来自湖北省蕲春县，初中毕业后就读于李时珍中医药职业技术学校，三年前通过技能高考考入湖北三峡职业技术大学医学院口腔医学技术专业学习。
官网简介显示，湖北三峡职业技术大学是一所公办职业本科大学，前身是湖北三峡职业技术学院，办学历史可上溯到1949年8月成立的宜昌专署财经干部学校。2026年5月，教育部批准设立湖北三峡职业技术大学。
据《三峡日报》报道，2025年，郭夏亭代表湖北队征战全国第三届职业技能大赛并斩获金牌。今年4月，她成功锁定世赛参赛资格，拿到代表中国出战的入场券。
Guo, from Qichun county, Hubei province, won gold in dental prosthetics technology. She studied at Li Shizhen Traditional Chinese Medicine Vocational and Technical School before entering the university through a skills-based exam. In 2025, she won gold at the national vocational skills competition and secured her spot to represent China in April 2026.
“自从测试赛结束后，郭夏亭只回过一次家，其余时间扎根集训基地，每天早上8点开启训练，一直训练到晚上10点，全程全身心投入。”指导老师曾晓莉介绍。

郭夏亭参加的是口腔修复工艺技术赛项，这远不止“做假牙”那么简单，对精细操作和数字化设计要求极高。从2026年9月23日至9月26日，她沉着应战，经过连续多日的高强度比赛，高水平完成蜡型制作、铸造、陶瓷堆塑及精细修整等竞赛模块。
Her instructor, Zeng Xiaoli, said Guo had returned home only once since the test event, spending the rest of her time at the training base from 8 am to 10 pm every day. Her event, dental prosthetics technology, involves far more than making dentures — it demands precise manual work and digital design.
Over four days of intense competition from Sept 23 to 26, she completed wax modeling, casting, ceramic layering, and fine finishing at a high level.
“站上领奖台的那一刻，我脑海里闪过的全是训练时那些反复打磨的深夜。这块金牌不只属于我，更属于所有在技能之路上默默坚持的人。”赛后，郭夏亭眼含热泪地对记者说。
"Standing on the podium, what flashed through my mind were all those late nights of repeated practice," Guo said tearfully. "This gold medal doesn't just belong to me — it belongs to everyone who quietly perseveres on the path of skills."

据《湖北日报》报道，宜昌市人社局党组成员、副局长孙津津说，郭夏亭去年获得全国职业技能大赛金牌后，该市第一时间为她匹配、落实了人才政策。
近期，郭夏亭已作为急需紧缺人才正式入职湖北三峡职业技术大学，成为口腔专业实习指导教师。她参加世界技能大赛报名时还是一个学生，现在已是该校一名年轻指导教师了。
Yichang authorities implemented talent policies for her after her national win. She now serves as a young instructor at the Hubei Three Gorges Technical University.
