Believers say the government has captured alien spacecraft and used the technology gleaned from them to make their own spaceships.
Forage可以指野生动物在自然界寻找食物,也可以指人类去野外搜寻物资(to go around searching for food or other supplies)。
People are being forced to forage for food and fuel.
Forage也可以描述用手在袋子里、抽屉里等地方寻找某物的动作(to search for something with your hands in a bag, drawer etc)。
▌常用搭配:forage around/through…
Railway embankments are a favorite because there's little to disturb them as they forage through adjoining gardens for food.
With a spade and a rake, we can dig sweet potatoes out of the soil, and then bring them home to make roasted sweet potatoes and dried sweet potato strips.
With a long bamboo pole over your shoulder, you knock the prickly little "spiky balls" off the branches. Once the chestnut burrs fall to the ground, you carefully pick them up with tongs and put them into a back basket.
Carry them home and roast them with sugar and sand — and you get fragrant, delicious roast chestnuts.
People sit in wooden tubs or small boats and row out into the middle of the water caltrop pond. There, they turn the water caltrop leaves over with their hands, pick the water caltrops hidden underneath.
Fresh water caltrops can be boiled in salted water and eaten directly after peeling, or shelled and stir-fried.
