国庆假期，天安门执勤点的那只猫又来了！
双语君约 3 分钟近日，一段小猫误入天安门执勤岗哨、陪哨兵“站岗”的短视频在网络上刷屏。
A video of a kitten standing at attention beside a sentry at a guard post at Tian'anmen Square has gone viral on Chinese social media.
画面里，毛茸茸的小猫踱步到哨位前，后腿一绷，尾巴竖成旗杆，前爪外撇六十度，稳稳立定。昂头挺胸，警觉地环顾四周，耳廓不时轻动。那一刻，红墙下的哨位上，一大一小两个身影，站姿如出一辙。
The kitten braced its hind legs, raised its tail, and planted its front paws at a sixty-degree angle, head high and chest out. It scanned its surroundings, ears twitching from time to time. Two figures — one tall, one small — stood side by side in the same posture beneath the red wall.
不少网友被这一幕打动，在评论区留言：“你守护人民，它守护你……”
还有网友拍到，这只小猫靠在哨兵脚下睡得非常安稳，四爪朝天，毫无防备。
有人评价：“国泰民安具象化了。”“这是信任和善良的双向奔赴。”
Netizens responded with comments including: "You guard the people; it guards you." In another photo, the kitten sleeps at the soldier's feet, belly up. "This is peace and prosperity made visible," one netizen wrote. "Trust and kindness, in both directions."
这样极具反差萌的温情故事，几十年前就上演过。
埃德加·斯诺在《红星照耀中国》中曾描述过：“许多战士带上了他们喂养的动物。有几人用绳子拴着小猴子；有一名战士养了只蓝灰色的宠物鸽，鸽子就‘栖息’在他肩上；有的带着小白鼠；有的带着兔子。”

The scene echoes an account in Edgar Snow's Red Star Over China, which described soldiers keeping pets — monkeys on leashes, a blue-grey pigeon perched on a shoulder, white mice and rabbits. The film Battle on Shangganling Mountain also depicts a similar theme.
