A video of a newlywed couple gazing into each other's eyes after their wedding has touched viewers online, with many calling it a moving portrait of true love.
The couple, from Qidong, Jiangsu province, married on Sunday after more than two years of a long-distance relationship. They work in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, and Shanghai, respectively, and made time to see each other every week.
After the wedding celebrations, the couple sat quietly together, their eyes welling up as they gazed at each other. Zhiwei, an independent wedding videographer from Shanghai, captured the moment.
"I was deeply moved. It was the most touching moment of the day," Zhiwei said. "When I showed them the footage, they cried, and I cried along with them."
The video has garnered 860,000 likes on Zhiwei's Douyin account, striking a chord with viewers. One commenter described the couple's gaze as seeming to hold "a lifetime of love".
