中国留学生课堂身披旭日旗引争议，莫斯科大学中国学联发布通报

The Chinese Students and Scholars Association at Lomonosov Moscow State University has issued a statement after images circulated online showing a Chinese history student wearing an item featuring Japan's Rising Sun flag in class, sparking widespread criticism.
近日，我校历史系一名中国留学生在课堂中身披旭日旗的相关画面在网络上传播，引发社会广泛关注。
旭日旗是日本军国主义侵略历史的标志性符号，承载着中华民族刻骨铭心的苦难记忆，是代表杀戮、侵略与殖民的历史污点。任何公开展示、变相美化、漠视该符号历史罪恶的行为，都是对民族情感的严重践踏，对历史先烈的公然亵渎。
The association described the Rising Sun flag as a symbol of Japanese militarist aggression associated with invasion, killing and colonial rule, saying it evokes painful historical memories for the Chinese people. It said publicly displaying or glorifying the symbol, or showing indifference to the historical crimes it represents, would deeply offend national sentiment and disrespect those who lost their lives resisting Japanese aggression.
事件发生后，莫斯科大学中国学生学者联谊会（以下简称“学联”）高度重视。现将相关工作进展通报如下：
一、快速核实事实，广泛了解意见
在收到在校同学反映后，学联组织人员，广泛了解师生反馈意见，收集、整理相关影像，并就事件发生的具体场景和经过与有关方面进行核实，确保事实清晰、依据充分和客观全面。
二、对接校方高层，提出诉求表明立场
自10月14日事发当日起，学联负责人以线下、线上方式多次与校方、院系行政管理人员进行沟通，反映情况、表达严正关切，并代表在校中国留学生群体提出诉求：请校方核查事件经过并高度重视该事件性质，依据适用法律校规进行严肃处理，适时回应同学们的关切。校方明确表示，该行为严重违背学校育人理念、扰乱校园教学秩序，已正式启动校内调查程序，将于近期发布处理结果。
Since the incident came to light on Wednesday, association representatives have held repeated online and in-person discussions with university and department administrators. According to the association, the university said the student's behavior seriously violated its educational principles and disrupted the order of campus teaching, and that it had formally launched an internal investigation, with findings expected to be announced soon.
三、汇报使馆教育处、倡导理性表达
学联第一时间将事件经过、完整证据及沟通进展汇报至中国驻俄使馆教育处，并根据后续情况及时配合相关工作。同时也呼吁在校留学生理性表达爱国，保护自身安全，避免引发肢体冲突或其他激烈行为。
四、与广大留学生一同坚定家国立场
感谢社会各界的关注关心，本次事件系涉事学生极端、错误的个人行为，完全不能代表莫斯科大学中国留学生群体。
The association thanked the public for its attention, describing the incident as an extreme and misguided act by the individual that did not represent Chinese students at the university as a whole.
It said Chinese students had expressed anger and strong opposition, adding that remembering history, cherishing one's country and upholding fundamental principles were shared convictions among the vast majority of Chinese students studying abroad.
The association also reiterated its opposition to words or actions that disregard history, downplay national suffering or cross fundamental national boundaries.
