China has released its official public holiday schedule for 2027, with the Spring Festival holiday set to run for nine days and the year expected to have the fewest makeup workdays in recent years, according to CCTV News.

The Spring Festival break will last from Feb 5, Chinese New Year's Eve, to Feb 13, the eighth day of the first lunar month, matching 2026 for the longest Spring Festival holiday on record.

New Year's Day and Qingming Festival coincide with weekends and require no adjustments, while the Dragon Boat Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival both fall on Wednesdays.

The schedule includes nine days for Spring Festival, seven for National Day, five for Labor Day and three each for New Year's Day and Qingming.
