The blogger, whose real name was Zhang Jingwen, was a student at Shandong University. She passed away at the young age of 20.
Zhang started at Shandong University in the autumn of 2023. In November of the same year, she began experiencing abdominal discomfort. However, prioritizing preparation for a legal competition, she delayed seeking medical attention.
By January 2024, she was transferred to a hospital in Shanghai, where she was diagnosed with advanced-stage gastric cancer, commonly known as stomach cancer.
After her diagnosis, Zhang documented her treatment process on social media. Throughout her battle with the disease, she displayed remarkable resilience and maintained an optimistic spirit, continuing her studies even from her hospital bed.
In November 2024, Zhang posted on her account: "I want to live my life to the fullest."

Medical experts emphasize that while the five-year survival rate for early-stage gastric cancer exceeds 90%, the overall detection rate of early-stage gastric cancer in China remains relatively low.
Consequently, many patients diagnosed after experiencing stomach symptoms are often already in an advanced stage. Experts stress that gastric cancer often presents no symptoms in its early stages, making screening crucial.
Individuals at high risk, such as those with a family history of gastric cancer or Helicobacter pylori infection, are advised by experts to undergo annual gastroscopy screenings.
