A one-month-old baby in South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region failed to gain weight after its parents strictly followed AI-generated feeding advice that limited each feeding to 60 milliliters of milk, local media reported.
The infant's parents from Nanning turned to AI for parenting advice after noticing their baby crying frequently at one month old. Lacking childcare experience, they relied on recommendations produced by an AI tool and continued following the suggested feeding amount despite objections from older family members.
5月下旬，夫妻俩带孩子到妇幼保健院复查黄疸，医生询问得知奶量后很惊讶，追问之下夫妻才说出实情，他们已经严格按照AI要求喂养孩子一周，这一周以来，孩子哭闹不止，直到累了才睡过去。
When the parents later took the child to a maternal and child healthcare hospital for a jaundice follow-up in late May, doctors were stunned to learn the baby had been kept on the feeding plan for an entire week.
医生表示，足月满月的宝宝每顿奶量60ml远达不到生长需求，导致这一周来孩子的体重一点也没长。
医生提醒，AI提供的正确、有效的健康知识，能帮助大家提升健康素质。但需要注意的是，AI信息并非万能，也会存在明显短板。如果一味偏听偏信，反而容易走入健康误区。如果身体真的不适，应当尽快前往医院就诊。
Doctors said 60 milliliters per feeding was far below the nutritional needs of a healthy full-term infant, leaving the child with no weight gain during that period.
They warned that while AI can provide useful health information, it also has clear limitations and should not replace professional medical advice.
