北京现“大号蒲公英”,系外来入侵物种!
An invasive plant species, Tragopogon dubius, commonly known as yellow salsify, has attracted attention in Beijing after its large, fluffy seed heads appeared in several parks, prompting experts to urge the public not to blow or spread its seeds.
Often mistaken for oversized dandelions, the plants have drawn the attention of curious visitors.

对本土植物构成一定威胁
According to botanist and science writer Shi Jun, the plant has been present in Beijing for years, but favorable climate and soil conditions, combined with the absence of natural enemies, have enabled its population to expand significantly.

Shi warns that the species poses a threat to native vegetation due to its rapid spread and strong ability to compete for water and nutrients.
Yellow salsify has been listed as an invasive species requiring priority monitoring, though its invasion risk remains relatively low compared with more destructive invasive plants.

Shi advises the public not to pick or transport the fluffy seed heads, as doing so could facilitate the species' spread to new areas. Sightings can be reported to local landscaping authorities for professional handling.
