The winners of the inaugural Golden Panda Awards, which honor global film, TV, documentary and animation achievements, were unveiled on Wednesday in Chengdu, Southwest China's Sichuan province, which is known as the home of the giant panda.

在电视剧单元，张永新凭借《觉醒年代》获最佳导演奖，《我的天才女友》第三季获最佳编剧奖，雷佳音、玛格丽塔·马祖可分别收获最佳男主角奖和最佳女主角奖，王景春、莎拉·斯努克分别收获最佳男配角奖和最佳女配角奖。

此外，《大熊猫 小奇迹》获最佳纪录片奖，《中国奇谭》获最佳动画片奖。

The giant panda, a unique and cherished species that has thrived in China for millions of years, now symbolizes peace, friendship, and love. The Golden Panda Awards bring together filmmakers and artists from around the world in Chengdu, fostering a bridge of friendship and promoting diverse cultures through mutual exchange and collaboration.

“China has an amazing and very long history and very deep culture. It’s like a goldmine waiting to be unearthed. ” 

America (the United States) is a very young country, but they are very good in using other cultures' elements to turn into commercial success or storytelling. Japan, whose culture is actually so much influenced by the Chinese culture, managed to blend very much its traditional elements with the new things.

“I had very different experiences in Chengdu. And maybe in my next work you will see panda,” he said.

Winkowski said he had walked around the city with Julius Nitschkoff, an actor in TV drama Dear Vivi, and see a lot of locations. “It looks so amazing here and we have to come back again to shoot a movie,” he said.

The overseas spread of Chinese films began with the kung fu films of Hong Kong, China in the 1970s, and the most well-known ones were Bruce Lee's films, which caused a sensation in the European and American markets at that time.

Chinese traditional culture contains a huge amount of subjects for films and TV dramas. Hollywood movies Kung Fu Panda and Mulan, which draw materials from traditional Chinese culture, have achieved great success.

He suggests the Chinese film practitioners stick to people-oriented approach and use internationally accepted languages to tell Chinese stories that convey the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind, to gain empathy from overseas audiences and realize people-to-people bond.

金熊猫奖每两年一届，永久落户四川。本次评委会主席张艺谋表示：“我们希望开一个好头，以后越办越好，成为一个沟通中外文化艺术和人民密切交往的桥梁。”
